Metallurgy division's Spring Seminar - Registration is now open!
Metallurgy division of Vuorimiesyhdistys (Finnish Association of Mining and Metallurgical engineers) warmly welcomes you to our traditional Spring Seminar organized in Helsinki on 15th of May 2025! Our theme this year is “Critical metals and the Geopolitical State of Affairs” and we have an excellent line-up of speakers prepared for you, as outlined in the program at the end of the message.
This year the seminar will be organized in English language and we’re happy to welcome our colleagues from Svenska Bergsmannaföreningen (SBF) to join us in the event! Furthermore, the event is organized in collaboration with Metallinjalostajat (Finnish Steel and Metal Producers) and held at Finnish Technology Industries premises at Eteläranta 10, Helsinki.

You may join the event at the seminar location or online.
Attendance physically at seminar location (Eteläranta 10, Helsinki) costs 17 euros
Attendance online is free of charge.
The panel discussion at the end of the seminar is not broadcast over Teams, so you may only join this portion of the program at site in Eteläranta.
There are 5 spots reserved for members of the SBF at the seminar location. The seminar space can fit altogether 60 participants including speakers.
There are no limitations for participants joining the event online.
After the seminar, VMY will organize a self-paid dinner. You may register for the dinner in the same registration form. The dinner will be hosted at restaurant Bacco (Lönnrotinkatu 18, Helsinki).
