Håkan Dedorsson, CEO at Björneborg Steel, will share insights from the successful turnaround and development of Björneborg Steel and the value the company provides to its customers. Håkan will give a general review of Björneborgs history and operations, share aspects of being a midsized steel company with the same requirements as for larger companies and how they successfully have managed to make a turnaround, green transition and developing green products in key applications together with end customers during turbulent times.
Björneborg Steel is a fully integrated forging company that controls the manufacturing process from scrap to finished product. The company operates the largest open-die forging press in the Nordic region and delivers everything from semi-finished products to fully finished components ready for assembly. The company has core competencies in advanced processes for high-purity steel, complex forging, and machining. Operations are based in Björneborg and Kristinehamn, Sweden.
BIO: Håkan Dedorsson has held management positions within Kvaerner Kamfab, Outokumpu, Scana Steel and Björneborg before current role as CEO since 2021.
Håkan is a Board Member of Industriarbetgivarna Stål & Metal, Jernkontoret and Österby Foundry and has his educational background in Metallurgy from Bergsskolan in Filipstad, Sweden.
